Grandma is Here!

We are all very excited that my mom is here visiting us right now! Anna and Ben have been so excited that she is here. Here are some recent photos:

It's fall!

On their way to school

Benji and I after church. Anna was practicing her photography skills =)

Yey! Grandma is here!
Ben gave grandma "fist bumps" when he saw her!
At one of our favorite restaurants

Ben had his first haircut at a real barbershop. He was not impressed by a funny looking man with a big belly cutting his hair.

Grandma doing the "lollipop dance" with Anna's ballet class! Anna requested that her grandma be invited =)

Is it Halloween yet?

I think Ben has asked me almost everyday if it is Halloween yet =).  Today Anna and Ben put their costumes on and came to me with baskets "trick o' treating" =).  Luckily I had some M&M's to toss in their baskets!

Anna and Ben have both been enjoying school. I must admit that Anna is much more excited about school than Ben but I know Ben is having a great time. Last night Anna said "Oh, goodie!" when I told her that she would be going back to school today. Last Friday Anna started "Daisy's" at her school which is Girl Scouts for 5 year old's.  She had fun with her friends!

This is what the kids look like after school. So tired! I wish I could lay down in the middle of a shopping center when I felt a little tired =).

The weather has been beautiful here lately and the kids have enjoyed playing with their friends.  I had two friends and their children over last week for dinner and between the three of us we had 6 kids here!  We let the kids play outside. They liked the putting green =).

Today I started my new job as a Home Health nurse. I just started training today so I was in the office all day but it felt strange to put scrubs back on after taking almost 2 years off! Home Health is completely out of my comfort zone and I think it will be good for me to try something new.

Here are some more photos from this past week:

Our scarecrows and pretty violas out back

Books were unpacked ... making progress! Starting to look like a home!

Anna enjoying the little hill out back

This will make a good site for sledding!
Whenever I ask Ben to smile for the camera he makes "spiderman hands"  Not sure why he does this =)
Anna noticed that her doll is making "spiderman hands". Too funny!

Our New Place

We have had a lot going on lately to say the least! We moved into our new place on Tuesday evening.  There are still a lot of boxes to unpack and settling to be done but we are making progress!  I really think we are going to enjoy living here. It's a very nice apartment complex that feels more like a home than an apartment. We have a laundry room and a garage that connects directly to our unit --- this is awesome! Our back patio is great because the kids have a lot of grass to play in.  There is a patio courtyard, pool/spa, putting green, gym and tennis court here as well which the kids like.  Here are some photos takes over the past few days:

Taking a walk around the complex. Ben said he was pushing a "lawn mower",  not a stroller =)
Strolling around the putting green

Walking around the shopping center that is close to us.

3 Year Old Visit

Ben had his three year old check up on Wednesday.  He has gained almost 4 pounds since December! That's a lot considering he's only 36 pounds. Ben was great during his appointment and he really loves Dr. Jim his pediatrician. Sometimes Ben calls him "Grandpa Jim" instead of Dr. Jim but I don't think his doctor minds considering he is a grandpa!

Ben's "prize" after receiving a shot in his leg. I doubt he thinks it was worth it!

Anna and Ben so proud after putting a puzzle together!
